How to do beadwork in jewlery
To create beadwork jewlery is one of the easiest known functional arts there is... I thought it was good to pay attention to this Artform.....
Things You'll Need:
Rolls of string or wire
Containers of beads, all seperated by colour and size
general idea of what you want to create with the beads
scissors
wire cutters
Step
1
To begin with, you need to take a look at your supplies- will you also be needing scissors or wire cutters for the base size or are ther already pre-cut to create a necklace....
Step
2
I choose to do a popular image of Jim Morrison wearing a beaded necklace on the poster of him wearing no shirt and a necklace....
Step
3
Now that we have the idea of what we want to create it is time to execute it...A necklace requires a base length and must be able to hold the amount of beads you choose....
Step
4
You then choose the colours of beads you want and in this case the amount of beads we need for each colour...
Step
5
You should tie a knot at the end of the string you are going to put your necklace and you can tie a clasp on both ends to be able to clip the ends together...
Step
6
Here comes the easiest thing to do, just string your beads onto the string and in my case the Jim Morrison Poster Pic- is generally viewed in black and white but thru research I found out the beads were done in white, black and red....I look at the necklace, try to count out each lenghth of coloured beads there is add them to the string!
Tips & Warnings
You can do this bead exercise safely but take a safety pin and open the clasp and then add colorful beads until it is time to close the clasp and you have now made a Friendship pin!!!
